Naughty dog
Ownership- Naughty dog was founded and created by Andy Gavin and Jason Rubin in 1984, and where therefore the owners of the company. Since then sony are now the owners.
Operating model- There are quite a few different departments in the Naughty Dog company. These include the founders which is the 2 men who created the company, the art department (lead by Neil Druckman) who do the textures and model the different characters, the programmers (lead by Kurt Margenau), The marketing team (lead by Arne Meyer), the management team and some sort of H.R. department.

Competitors- Back in the 1990s; when Naughty Dog where creating Crash Bandicoot, they had quite a lot of competitors. Arguably their biggest rivals where Nintendo's 'Mario' and SEGA's 'Sonic' games. This is down to the fact they also had a young audience and highly iconic characters. However recently this has changed, recently they have changed the type of game they are creating to a third person shooter/ narrative. In doing this they have widened there target market but also their competition. These include Bethesda, Rockstar and EA.
Ninja Theory
A)Ownership- The founded by Tanneem Antoniades, Nina Kristensen and Mike Ball. The first owners of the company were Argonaut Games; who ended up getting liquidated in late 2004. Sony then saved them from bankruptcy by funding the development of one of their games. Since then they belong to Microsoft.
B)Operating model- The different departments in the operating model in ninja theory include the founders who are tanneem Antoniades, Nina Kristensen and Mike Ball. The performance capture department, the story writer being Alex Garland. Ninja Theory also have an art department and the programming department. They also have a marketing team, a H.R team and a management team. The marketing team are in charge of making sure all the different departments know what they are doing and when they are doing it.

D)Market position- Ninja Theory are quite an unsuccessful company, they have only made a few AAA titles most of which haven't made much money. Heavenly sword which is (arguably) their 3rd most well known title; this game didn't even break even. They haven't made much money and are compared to small companies according to their Total revenue. These small game companies are Smaller phone game companies like Kabam, GREE AND Jagex. Kabam are a small company with their latest game having the gross revenue of $100Million; their greatest profit for any of their games. Ninja theory make $75Million annually.
E)Competitors- Ninja Theory have a few main competitors in the game industry. These include Konami and IO Interactive games. The main reason why these companies are their main competitors are because they also create third person games. Konami created the Metal gear series which is one of the most popular third person games to date. IO Interactive games who create allot of third person story based games. Ninja theory can also be compared to fantasy base games like 'The Witcher' which was created by CD Projekt games.
